PHILLY CHEESE “STEAK”

You know you want it. And Gardein just made it that much easier to have it.

I recently entered and won a contest for some delicious Gardein products. It was from vegan mofo and my old blog (Palmerston Gardens) helped me secure the victory.

My promise? To make a ton of Philly Cheese for my pals.

The end result was a ton of satisfied bellies and a new recipe for you (tell your friends)!

This is so easy to make, you’re going to wonder why it’s even posted here. But really, look at that pic. This sammie was crazy delicious.

Ingredients:

One pack of Gardein Beefless Tips (found in most stores)

1 tbl Parpika

1 tbl Cumin

BBQ Sauce (double check the ingredients)

1 Red Onion

1 Green Pepper

Sub Buns

Your fav cheese (daiya if you’re vegan)

Olive oil

Garlic (3 cloves)

Directions:

Heat oil in pan with onion and garlic until soft. Add Cumin/Paprika.

Toss in Beefless tips and Green Pepper. Cook until tender.

Break up tips into smaller pieces (your choice on the size).

Once cooked, add bbq sauce and heat.

Scoop onto your loaf, add cheese, and melt in a preheated oven.

Serve to hungry self. Put feet up afterwards, knowing you just ate the most delicious Philly cheese in life, and harmed no animals in the process.
